Shredo is a permanent MAC file deletion tool. The files we normally delete by moving and emptying the wastebasket do not mean that we have actually deleted them; they will be stored until the operating system decides to write new data on them. Therefore, there are many data recovery tools that give you the possibility of retrieving items that you deleted by mistake. The files deleted by Shredo will be permanently deleted. 1-pass, 7-pass and 35-pass algorithms are supported to ensure that deleted files cannot be recovered. ##### The difference between different levels - 1-pass - Fast, preventing data recovery by common data recovery tools. - 7-pass - This parameter is slow and prevents most data recovery tools from performing data recovery. - 35-pass - Not slow, but provides the best protection. Basically, no data recovery tool can recover deleted data.
