Overview
Quickres is a Mac resolution tweaking tool that bypasses Apple's resolution restrictions on the Mac and lists all the resolutions of your monitor for you to switch between. On the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro, you can safely set the screen resolution to a maximum of 3840x2400, and on the 5K iMac, you can reach a maximum of 7680x4320! For Macs with external displays, you can set the resolution to Hidpi mode, which is very similar to the Retina Display.
